Death Hag Sticker of the Day - The Salton Sea

In the desert outside of Palm Springs is the Salton Sea.  A bizarre accident happened in the early 1900's when the Colorado River broke and formed this massive body of water in the desert.

It became a tourist destination.

Well guess what.

They plugged the leak.

Now it's completely cut off and sits stagnant.  Slowly evaporating and killing almost everything in it.

The beach you are looking at is not made of sand.  It's made of fish skeletons.

WEIRD.

Putrid.

The communities that sprung up have almost all been vacated, most are in ruins.

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the Filmation-accurate illustrations that could be found on each and every page. I thought it would be a good idea to showcase those illustrations on this very Blog!Minnie mouse wall décor
